Course description:
UICC Master Courses offer a unique opportunity to acquire specialised knowledge and skills in cancer control. Each course is purpose-built by internationally-recognised cancer control professionals to meet specific needs for continuing education of those engaged in cancer control from various disciplines, and at different levels. They are offered free of charge to those who register for the World Cancer Congress.

This course is built with the aim to provide grantees of the SPARC Metastatic Breast Cancer Challenge with specific skills to maximise their impact, increase their visibility, and ensure the sustainability of their projects.

Course objectives:
The overall objective of this course is to equip SPARC grantees with the knowledge and skills to leverage their project impact and ensure their sustainability. Participants will have the opportunity to find out about the status of metastatic breast cancer in many parts of the world, learn how to deploy effective Monitoring & Evaluation and how to use this effectively for their own advocacy and fund-raising messages.
SPARC grantees will also learn about key clinical concepts in MBC and the individual needs of MBC patients, how to address them in an optimal way and ensure a high quality of life.

Target audience:
This course has been designed exclusively to support grantees of the SPARC Metastatic Breast Cancer Challenge in fulfilling their projects and is based on feedback from them on their educational needs. It is open to the principle SPARC grantees who have been invited to the World Cancer Congress and also to a limited number of other people from their organisations who will benefit from the training.
